Selection process and scoring criteria
SCORING CRITERIA
Artistic Merit:
- Importance and
appropriateness of the project to the organization’s mission, the mission of Northwest CT Arts Council, and the communities they serve.
- Ability to carry out the project based on factors such as the appropriateness of the budget, the quality and clarity of the project activities and goals, the resources involved, and the qualifications of the project’s personnel.
- Potential to serve
and/or reach individuals whose opportunities to experience the arts are limited by geography, ethnicity, economics, or disability, as applicable.
Artistic Excellence:
- Quality
of the artists, organizations, arts education providers, works of art, and/or services that the project will involve and their
relevance to the audience or communities being served.
Sustainability:
- Potential to extend the program or impact beyond the granting period.

Selection process:
After initial eligibility is determined, applications will be evaluated by a peer jury based on the above criteria. The highest scoring applications from both "Access" and "Creative Partnerships" grant programs will then be presented at a live panel discussion. Final funding recommendations will be submitted to the Council and the board for approval. Award Announcements will be sent December 1, 2022.

Each panelist who participates will receive a stipend for their time.
