The Mattatuck Museum is currently accepting applications for its Philip Benevento History Internship, a six-week, paid summer internship in our archives department.
This year’s intern will work closely with our museum archivist to process and organize the Chase Family Papers, a historically significant collection that sheds light on Waterbury’s industrial and philanthropic past. The selected candidate will gain valuable hands-on experience in archival work while producing a scholarly project and a finding aid for future researchers.
The internship comes with a $1,000 stipend, and the start date is flexible within the summer. Preference is given to applicants from Waterbury or those attending college in the area.

The Sharon Playhouse seeks passionate and dynamic teaching artists for an array of teaching opportunities. Seeking teaching artists with experience working with any age group, from toddlers through adults, for Sharon Playhouse classes, in-school and after-school residencies, and creative team positions for our YouthStage productions. Sharon Playhouse teaching artists are contracted on a freelance, per class/production basis, and work a variety of schedules based on programming needs and teacher availability. Weekday, weekday evening, and weekend hours are available, all year long.
The Sharon Playhouse faculty is comprised of teaching artists with wide ranges of experience, both as teachers and as theater artists. Priority will be given to teaching artists who have housing within a commutable distance to the Sharon Playhouse. Hired teaching artists will be required to undergo background checks, at the expense of The Sharon Playhouse.

The New Milford Commission on the Arts invites artists to submit their work for its third annual Arts Festival on the Green, taking place on June 28, 2025.
The Arts Festival is a juried fine art and artisan show that also features performances by local students, as well as dance, theater, and music groups.
The Arts Festival is free and draws a large summer crowd to view and purchase art directly from the artists.
Artists may submit up to five images.
Registration deadline is May 31, 2025.

Berklee Music and Health Institute is partnering with Connecticut based nonprofit, MARC Community Resources and Team Andre, to offer a 9-month training that empowers community leaders to use music to enhance the well-being of others.
The Community Health Musician Certificate is an asynchronous online training with two in-person weekend intensives to accommodate most schedules. It features opportunities for hands-on fieldwork and program development support from leaders in the arts and health field. Participants will learn to design inclusive, music-based experiences tailored to their communities' needs while working alongside trained music therapists and other professionals.
