Make Music NWCT 2021

Music filled the air all over Northwest CT on the summer solstice, June 21, 2021. Here are some highlights from this year's Make Music NWCT!

Many from all over CT and beyond visited the Litchfield Hills for Make Music Day, June 21st. Some came from as far as New York, New Jersey and Rhode Island! There were over 25 individual performances to see throughout the region. Participating venues included Charym Yoga Studio, Community Health & Wellness, The Covered Wagon Country Store, Kent Land Trust, Kent Green Gazebo, Red Room Sound Studio, Rock Yer Block Busk Stop, Franklin Plaza, Sunset Meadow Vineyard, The Outlet for the Arts, New Hartford Pavilion, the Warner Theatre Marquee, and Warren Town Center.

The New Hartford Pavilion started the day off with the Ukulele Ladies, then ended with Simply Guitar Studio in the evening. Community Health & Wellness in Torrington hosted performances from Andrew DeNicola and Jeremy Driscoll. The Carol & Nick Duo kicked off the morning in Kent at the Covered Wagon Country Store.

The Rock Yer Block Busk Stop featured jazz music on the street by Andrew DeNicola and band mates, then Adelaide Punkin in the evening. The Warren Town Center hosted a lunch hour performance by the T.J. Thompson Trio - the first of three performances by the Trio that day.

For the second year in a row, the Red Room All Stars took to the rooftop of Five Points Gallery in Downtown Torrington to perform classic rock covers.

The Outlet for the Arts had an all-day lineup featuring Ysanne, KNoWTe, The T.J. Thompson Trio, Vera, Ian Matthew, and Mighty Tortuga.

Adelaide Punkin and Say Love performed at the recently-renovated Franklin Plaza.

Kent Land Trust hosted The Barn Door Band in the afternoon. Down the road at the Kent Green Gazebo, there was an eclectic lineup including Country Jam, madlnw, The Open Borders Trio, and The Joint Chiefs.

Meanwhile in Goshen, the Carol & Nick Duo and T.J. Thompson Trio performed at Sunset Meadow Vineyard.

Jeremy Driscoll played the "hang" under the Warner Theatre's marquee, and was one of the final performances to end the night.
