Northwest Music Assn and New Baroque Soloists in Concert
The Northwest Music Association has announced this year's dates for its popular Wednesday afternoon baroque concerts held at Salisbury's St John's Church. The first concert will be on July 24 at 5 pm and the series will continue at the same time on the next three Wednesdays, July 31 and August 7 & 14. These concerts are supported by contributions from individuals and businesses in the community and the featured performers, known as the New Baroque Soloists, are all professional musicians with affiliations to well regarded orchestras and ensembles throughout the Northeast. Each week, artistic director Douglas Myers brings together colleagues from the string, woodwind, horn, and continuo sections to present an outstanding musical program. Each concert lasts about one hour, after which the audience has the opportunity to join the musicians for light refreshments in the Lower Parish Hall of the church.
