Attorney, author and lecturer, John Barylick will speak as part of the Leaders In Law presentation series.
John Barylick won national recognition as the attorney who represented victims, in wrongful death and personal injury cases, arising from the Station Nightclub fire, on February 20, 2003, in West Warwick, Rhode Island.
His work was instrumental in amassing $176 million in settlements from persons and corporations responsible for the fire. Said Barylick: “Most of the wrongdoing occurred long before the fire. It all came down to money. When no value is attributed to safety, disaster can happen.”
Barylick is a frequent presenter at fire service, event safety, and legal seminars. He is recipient of the 2006 Rhode Island Trial Lawyers Association Award for Professionalism and American College of Trial Lawyers Medal. Professionalism and American College of Trial Lawyers Medal.
