Connecticut Master Chorale Spring Concert
TheConnecticut Master Chorale, under the direction of Tina Johns Heidrich, willpresent its Spring Concert on Aprill 7, 2019 at 3:00 at the FirstCongregational Church of Danbury, 164 Deer Hill Ave.
The concert will feature a gorgeousnew work "Requiem for Solace" by Kim Andre Arnesen. This talentedyoung Norwegian composer has combined sacred texts and modern poetry to createan inspiring new Requiem of great beauty.
Also on the program are three glorious works by Dan Forrest, one of ourfavorite composers. They are entitled "Te Deum": (We Praise) Thee, OGod; "In Paradisum"; and "Psalm of Ascension". (All to besung in English). These works confirm this remarkable American composer'sbrilliant gift for lyricism, reverence, and drama.
The concert will be accompanied bythe Connecticut Master Chorale Orchestra.
