An Extraordinary Legacy: The Photographs by Marie H. Kendall
The Norfolk Historical Society & Museum opens its 2018 season on June 2nd, with an exciting look at Norfolks own19th century photographer. Marie Kendall arrived in Norfolk in 1884, just as Norfolk was making a transformation from mill town to a bustling summer colony. Over the next several decades Kendall diligently recorded the town, its inhabitants, and the architecture. On display will be many original photographs and new prints made from the Museum's recently digitized glass plate negative collection. The Museum is open Saturday and Sunday June - Oct.& from 1:00 to 4:00 or by appointment.
